This Privacy Policy explains how BrasQ (“BrasQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit www.brasq.com (the “Site”), subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise interact with us.

BrasQ is a product review and recommendation website. We are supported by readers: as an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases made through links on our Site. We also display advertising and offer an email newsletter. This policy describes the data practices connected to those activities.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

Newsletter sign-up: When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, where applicable, your name and country/region.
Contact and correspondence: If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
Comments and feedback: If the Site allows comments or surveys, we collect the information you choose to submit.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our third-party partners automatically collect certain information through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including:

3. Affiliate Links and the Amazon Associates Program

BrasQ is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and its international storefronts.

When you click an affiliate link on our Site, you are directed to the retailer’s website (for example, Amazon), and the retailer may set cookies on your device to attribute your purchase to BrasQ. We receive only aggregated, non-identifying reports from these programs (such as the number of clicks and commissions earned). We do not receive your name, payment details, or full order history from Amazon.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our partners use cookies (small text files stored on your device), pixels, and similar technologies for the following purposes:

We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals other than GPC, as no common industry standard for DNT has been adopted.

5. Our Newsletter

Our newsletter is strictly opt-in. We will only send you marketing emails if you have signed up through a form on the Site (or otherwise given us your express consent, as required by laws such as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the EU/UK GDPR).

What we send: Deals, product recommendations, new reviews, and related updates.
Who processes it: We use a third-party email service provider to store our subscriber list and deliver emails. Our provider may collect standard email engagement data (such as opens and clicks) on our behalf.
How to unsubscribe: Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time with one click, or by contacting us at the address in Section 12. Unsubscribe requests are honored promptly and without charge.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not affect emails we may need to send you for non-marketing reasons (for example, responding to an inquiry you sent us).

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your newsletter email list with third parties for their own marketing. We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

Contact correspondence: Retained as long as reasonably necessary to handle your inquiry and maintain business records.
Analytics and log data: Retained in identifiable form only for limited periods set with our analytics providers, after which it is deleted or aggregated.

We may retain information longer where required by law or to resolve disputes.

8. Your Privacy Rights

We will verify your identity (usually by confirming control of the email address associated with your data) and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also use an authorized agent where the law permits. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may have the right to appeal our decision.

Region-specific notes

European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR/UK GDPR): Our legal bases for processing are consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site, measuring content performance), and legal obligation. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
United States (state privacy laws): Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise the rights above, including opting out of targeted advertising via our cookie settings or a GPC signal. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.
